Gertrude Thompson Zimmerman

Born in Minnesota, Gertrude moved with her family to Everett, Washington in the early 1900's. She attended Washington State College, now Washington State University, and Bellingham Normal. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at WSC, and received her teaching credential from Bellingham Normal.

She taught elementary school in Everett, and married Henry Eugene Zimmerman in 1917. She and her husband moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1924. Their daughter was born there in 1931. They moved to Seattle in 1941.
